Many believe that having faith is just a religious experience and it is for a person that's religious. Faith is complete trust or confidence in someone or something. This confidence leads to a very optimistic approach in life. The challenges comes daily when this confidence we have is challenged. Now do we have faith or fear to continue to have confidence in what we are putting our trust in. Many lose confidence because of the risk that comes from having fear of the risk . Question is what is the something that we are placing our confidence in.
"Here the focus is on the particular nature of the concrete event, including
such factors as the personalities involved, their momentary relations to one
another, the health of these persons, the problems they face, or the state of the
weather. As has been indicated above these categories of variables have both
historical and ahistorical (present-time) dimensions. This is especially true when we consider the effects of past situations on the structures of present
biologies, cultures, and situations. These four classes of factors may be conceived
of as both four different classes of variables involved in the causation of
any human action and four different levels of the analysis of that action.a behavioral pattern that applies to an active process towards what we desire. If we desire it."

What we desire becomes our drive and the way we obtain this desire is having confidence in one of the areas that was mentioned in the above article. Why faith? because it leads to development of a desire that becomes a drive that moves us towards action. Fear immobilizes, freezes, fold or fight. Fighting my be good if it's done to fight off negativity but hesitation towards the destination leads to procrastination. Procrastination is the thief of time and always mess up our mind.
Cognitive-behavior therapy may have some helpful techniques for Christians seeking to take their thoughts captive or improve in other areas requiring self-control. It can also be useful in revealing the enemy’s lies so that Christians are not duped into self-loathing or self-defeating behaviors. However, to be free of false thoughts and to truly grow, we need to be grounded in God’s truth and sanctified by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Christiians and other religious believers have faith in a God or a deity however they must find ways to exercise self control over issues that many critics can point at them and criticize for not being what they say they are. Yet, faith must be viewed from a behavioral perspective which mixes with thinking that leads to a belief that develops into action.
